So, I was in Vegas, right? And you know how Vegas is, just a whirlwind of everything. I wasn’t there looking for enlightenment or anything, just the usual Vegas stuff. But then I stumbled across this place offering aura photography. I’d heard about it, seen those colorful pictures, and thought, “Well, when in Rome… or Vegas, as it were.”
Getting Started with the Aura Pic
I walked into this little shop, tucked away from the main casino noise. It wasn’t what I expected; pretty calm, actually. The person there was super chill. They explained the whole thing – basically, I’d put my hands on these metal plates, and a special camera would capture my “aura.” Sounded a bit out there, but I was committed by then. I figured, what’s the harm? It’s just a picture, at the end of the day.
They had me sit on a stool, facing this odd-looking camera. It wasn’t like your usual DSLR. Then, I had to place my hands on these two sensor pads, one for each hand. They told me to just relax and sit still for a few moments. Easier said than done in Vegas, let me tell you, my mind was still racing from the blinking lights everywhere. But I did my best to just breathe and not think about whether my poker face was good enough for an aura camera.
The Big Reveal – My Colors!
After what felt like just a minute, maybe less, it was done. The photo started printing out, kind of like an old Polaroid, but way more colorful. And there it was – me, surrounded by this haze of colors. It was pretty wild to look at. Mostly a lot of blue and some green, with a bit of yellow around my head. Honestly, it looked cool.
Then came the interpretation part. The person explained what each color supposedly meant:
- The blue was about communication, being calm, that sort of thing.
- Green meant I was a healing type, or growing.
- Yellow around the head, they said, was about intellect and optimism.
My Take on the Whole Thing
Now, am I a full believer? I don’t know. I’m a pretty practical guy. My day job involves a lot of spreadsheets and clear-cut answers, so stuff like this always makes me raise an eyebrow. It’s funny, years ago, my sister tried to get me into crystals and all that. I even went to a weekend retreat with her once – mostly just enjoyed the hiking and the quiet, to be honest. The crystal healing part? Went right over my head. But this aura photo? It was a fun experience.
I think it was interesting to see what the camera picked up, or what the colors were supposed to represent. Whether it’s truly my “aura” or just some clever tech reacting to skin temperature or whatever, it doesn’t really matter to me. It was a neat little souvenir from Vegas, definitely more unique than another t-shirt. And the explanation was positive, so hey, I’ll take it. Made me think a little, and that’s always good. Plus, it was a good story to tell when I got back. It’s one of those things you do for the experience, you know? And Vegas is all about experiences.
