Alright everyone, so it’s that time again, right? Season’s creeping up, and for folks like us who follow Penn State baseball, it means figuring out when the games are. I went through my usual little ritual to dig up the 2024 schedule, and figured I’d share how I got it sorted.
My Annual Schedule Hunt
First thing I did, like I always do, was fire up the old computer. My mind immediately went to, “Okay, where’s the official Penn State Athletics page?” I’ve learned over the years that trying to find these things through a generic search can be a bit of a wild goose chase. You get all sorts of articles, old news, fan forums, but I just want the straight goods, you know?
So, I headed straight for what I hoped was their main athletics website. Sometimes these university sites can be a little tricky to navigate, bless ’em, they pack so much info in there. I was looking for that familiar “Sports” menu or something similar. Once I found that, it was a matter of scrolling or clicking until I spotted “Baseball.” Sometimes it’s under “Men’s Sports,” other times it’s just in a big A-Z list. You gotta be a bit of a detective.
Finding the Goods
This year, it actually wasn’t too painful. Landed on the main athletics page, found the sports directory pretty quick. Scanned down, and there was “Baseball.” Gave that a click. Then, on the baseball team page, I looked for the “Schedule” tab or link. It’s usually pretty prominent, thankfully.
And bingo! There it was. The 2024 season laid out. I clicked on it, and the full schedule popped up. It took a second to load all the details, but that’s pretty standard.
Quick Look-Through
I didn’t dive super deep into every single game yet, but I did a quick scroll. Looks like a typical busy spring for the Nittany Lions. I saw some of those early season non-conference games, which are always interesting to see how the team is gelling. Then, of course, the Big Ten matchups start to fill in the calendar. I always peek at where the home series are, trying to see if I can make it over to Medlar Field for a few. It’s always a good time, assuming the Pennsylvania spring weather cooperates!
- Started by going to the official athletics portal.
- Navigated to the ‘Baseball’ section.
- Located and clicked on the ‘Schedule’ link.
- Scanned through the dates and opponents for 2024.
So yeah, that was my little adventure for the afternoon. Got the schedule saved now, so I’m all set to follow along. It’s just one of those things, part of being a fan, keeping tabs on your team. Now all that’s left is to hope for a good season!
