Alright, so I was poking around the upcoming WWE calendar, just doing my usual thing, trying to see what’s what before things get officially shouted from the rooftops. And this Bash in Berlin event, well, it got me thinking, especially about Bron Breakker.
The guy’s a powerhouse, no doubt. Seems like they’re high on him. But then, my brain started churning, you know, connecting the dots based on how these things usually play out. It’s a bit of a habit I’ve picked up over the years, trying to read the tea leaves.
How I Got to This Thought
So, the first thing that hit me was how these big overseas shows, these Premium Live Events or PLEs, tend to get booked. They usually wanna pack ’em with their biggest stars. We’re talking your Cody Rhodes, definitely Gunther since it’s in Germany – that’s a no-brainer. Then you’ve got guys like Randy Orton, who always gets a huge pop, and they’ll want top women like Rhea Ripley. And hey, if CM Punk is cleared and ready, you bet they’d try to get him on there. That’s a hefty lineup already, just thinking out loud.
Then there’s this other thing I’ve noticed, especially since Triple H has been steering the ship more. The PLEs, particularly the ones that aren’t the mega-shows like WrestleMania or SummerSlam, they feel a bit tighter.
- You’re often looking at around five matches. Not much more, not much less.
- Keeps things moving, not a lot of fluff.
So, I started putting these pieces together in my head. If you’ve only got, say, five slots on the card, and you’re trying to feature your World Heavyweight Champion – Gunther had that massive defense against Orton before, remember? – and your Undisputed WWE Champion, plus a few other major attractions, well, space gets real tight, real fast. It’s like trying to fit ten pounds of potatoes into a five-pound sack.
Now, I’m not saying I’ve got some secret source or anything. Nah, this is just me, observing patterns, looking at past events, and how they seem to be structuring things these days. It’s all just speculation from my end.
But when I line all that up, a rising star like Bron Breakker, who’s still carving out his spot on the main roster, he could very well be one of those guys who just doesn’t make the final cut for a specific show like Bash in Berlin. It’s tough, sure, but when you’ve got a limited card for an international event, and you want to guarantee those big, established names are front and center, sometimes newer talent gets squeezed out. That’s just the reality of it sometimes. Just a hunch I got while thinking it all through. We’ll have to wait and see how it actually shakes out, but that’s my two cents from my little “investigation.”
